Residents of Aspley, a suburb located north of Brisbane, now have access to the National Broadband Network (NBN).
Now that the system is up and running many residents are taking advantage of the high speed internet and telephone service the NBN brings. Something that might not be so well known in the Aspley area is that a timetable has now been set in place for the ‘switch off’ of the copper cable network.
Due to commence in September this year, this will see the end of the old telephone system and with it ADSL. The NBN Company will arrange installation of the new service to the boundary of your home (quite often the garage area of the house) but cabling to the phone and internet equipment is the responsibility of the home owner. Jim’s Antennas can help with the installation of cabling into your home and we encourage you to be proactive and beat the rush to ensure that you have your phone and internet active come September.
