Protect Your Construction Site with Solar CCTV Cameras

According to the Australian Institute of Criminology research paper, 39% of residential builders have experienced theft or vandalism. The risk of theft and vandalism also rose when the building site was in or close to an urban area.

Construction site crime is a major problem for the industry, with tools & materials being robbed or vandalised. Which is why we strongly recommend that all sites have security systems.

At Jim’s Antennas our franchisees are also licensed Jim’s Security franchisees and are here to assist clients with installation and repair of CCTV Systems & Security Cameras, Security Alarms, Video Intercoms & Access Control. We offer a complete range of security products and supply a number of professional brands such as Bosch, and Dahua.

Your local technician will provide you with a customised assessment of your security options that best suit the type and structure of the building site, including your budget.

In some cases it’s not as easy as just installing CCTV cameras and away you go. Not all work sites are cabled enabling CCTV cameras to be installed. However there is a solution and that is to install Solar CCTV cameras.

Recently, Michael from Jim’s Antennas South Morang was asked to install Solar CCTV for a worksite in Werribee. For this job he teamed up with Troy from Jim’s Antennas Wollert & Epping. They had already installed temporary cameras on the site sheds however this side of the site was not able to be cabled.

The 2x Dahua TiOC 2.0 cameras are set for lights & sirens at specific times in specific areas to actively detour any would-be intruders. The solar panel charges the battery & will provide up to 10 days of power if there is no sun. A 4G modem is installed for remote viewing also.
