TV antennas don’t belong in a roof!

Are you currently suffering with TV reception issues, like pixelating, loss of channels, and drop outs? Did you know that one of the causes for this could be the positioning of your TV antenna? If your TV antenna has been installed in your roof, then that will cause issues.

Installing an antenna inside a roof space (especially tin or colourbond) is an outdated technique, which is not advised for today’s technology. In the past analogue antennas were installed in roofs to protect them from the elements and because they were considered an ‘eye sore’. However, this is no longer advised when it comes to digital antennas. Current digital signals are very different to old analogue signals and require an external antenna to be properly captured.

If your current TV antenna is in the roof and your TV reception is playing up, we recommend that you give the professionals a call. At Jim’s Antennas our team of experts specialise in all types of aerial installation tasks. Your local technician will fit the correct Antenna for the type of TV reception available in your local area.

Luke from Jim’s Antennas Shepparton, had a customer who had tried to put an antenna in their roof space, and as a result, the signal was severely lowered and caused their TV to pixelate constantly. After removing the antenna from the inside of the roof and installing it onto a uni-mount on the roof, the signal was improved greatly and the pixelation completely stopped.
