Concealing Cables for Wall Mounted TVs

Hi I’m Mark from Jim’s Antennas and today I would like to explain how the professionals at Jim’s Antennas hide (conceal) your TV cables after wall mounting your LED, LCD, OLED etc  TV Screen.

There are two types of walls that we typically mount TVs on those that have a cavity and those that do not and are solid.

Lets first talk about a wall with a cavity.

We start by using a stud finder to locate any studs and noggins to ascertain where the TV mounting Bracket will be located and the area of coverage that the TV will cover.

We then cut a hole in the wall in a location not to be intercepted by the bracket that will also be covered by the TV.

We then cut another hole directly below this at the same height as your power points.

We then drop a string line or yellow tongue into the cavity and fish it out at the bottom.

The required cables are then taped to the pull through of choice and simply pulled through  the bottom hole.

The holes are then finished off with a variety of wall plates depending on the solution that best meets the customer equipment requirements and their visual tastes.

The TV mounted on the wall has no visual cables to provide a neat professional finish.

Lets now talk about walls with no cavity.

Whilst not quite as neat there is still a way to hang your TV on the wall and tidy up those ugly cables on walls with no cavity.

We can simply fix a small duct to the wall size dependant on how many cables are required to be concealed.

Now whilst duct is not the perfect solution it can be painted so that it is possible to blend it in and make it quite neat.

Well I hope that explains how the professionals at Jims Antennas conceal your TV cables when mounting your TV on the wall.
