I Smell A Rat!!

Matt from Jims Antennas Moana was called to help a customer who was experiencing a variety of picture problems on all of the TV sets in her home.

Her TV reception was missing certain channels altogether, the picture was breaking-up, there were issues with sound and ‘no signal’ messages were a common occurrence until the client called us. Matt was able to give the entire antenna system a health check and quickly found the problem in the confined roof space.

The root of the problem? A rodent had managed to chew through all the outer layers of the the coaxial cable leaving just the copper core. Matt was able to replace and re-route the cabling externally from the antenna to the internal splitter in a way that should reduce chances of it happening again.

The client can now enjoy all digital channels again with no annoying picture break up or sound issues again. As for the rodent, his days maybe numbered with the help of a quick call to Jims pest Control!
