Gold Coast Residents: The Retune is Coming on 28 October

As the final part of Australia’s switch to digital only TV, several channels are changing frequency. This should not cause too many issues for viewers, with most residents only needing to retune their TV, set top box or personal video recorder. If you have difficulty re-tuning the government has a free phone service as well as a detailed website advising on how to retune.

If you own or manage a pub, club or business that has a master antenna system (MATV), the process is more complex. Many systems may need specialist attention or even some equipment replacement to ensure antenna systems will continue to work after the retune. This needs to be finalised prior to the re-stack on 28 October. Jim’s Antennas has operated on the Gold Coast for over 10 years, with our technicians specialising on both small and large MATV systems for hotels, motels and apartment complexes.

If you have any concerns please contact the government free phone line or website. If you can’t reach your desired result you can call Jim’s Antennas on 131 546. If you require our assistance onsite a call out fee will be applicable.
