Starlink has just launched its most affordable residential internet plan yet in Australia, offering families and households a new way to access satellite broadband without paying premium prices.
The Residential 100 Mbps plan is now available in select areas and could appeal to customers looking for a lower-cost Starlink option compared to the company’s existing tiers.

Priced at $69 per month, this entry-level plan delivers download speeds capped at 100 Mbps and unlimited data each month, similar to speeds many Australians are familiar with on an NBN 100 plan. That makes it a solid fit for everyday internet tasks such as browsing, streaming and video calls.
Because it’s a satellite service, Starlink connects via a dish installed at your home, giving you coverage even in regional or remote locations where fixed-line broadband can be slow, unreliable or unavailable.
However, this plan is currently only offered in select parts of Australia, and availability depends on where you live. Starlink’s website requires you to enter your address to check whether the Residential 100 Mbps option is offered in your area.
To help put the new plan in context, it’s the lowest-priced option Starlink has provided locally so far, positioned below its more expensive Residential Lite and full Residential plans. Those higher tiers come with faster maximum speeds and different pricing, but also higher monthly costs.

While this cheaper plan may not deliver the same peak performance as Starlink’s other packages, its combination of affordable pricing, unlimited data and satellite reach could make it an attractive choice for smaller households or light-to-moderate internet users. Just keep in mind that it’s not yet rolled out everywhere and may be slightly more expensive than some NBN plans with promotional pricing.
