Mark from Jim’s Antennas Mount Annan, Southern New South Wales, recently replaced a splitter for the owners of a new home in Spring Farm, following concerns about the quality of a pre-wired system installed by the builders of their home.
When Mark arrived, he noticed several issues with the existing splitter. For instance, the splitter was not appropriate for the number of outlets, there was excess caballing coiled around the rafters, and the cables were not terminated correctly.
These are all factors, which can weaken or even result in the loss of a home’s TV signals – difficulties which the new home owners were experiencing.
In addition to this, the metal plating around the end of the cables appeared to be crushed, with frayed wires protruding from the caps, suggesting that the builder had not used the appropriate tools to install the wiring. As a result, even the cables themselves were damaged!
Thankfully Mark had come to save the day. By correctly and professionally installing a new splitter and new undamaged cabling, he was able to guarantee crystal clear reception and trouble-free viewing for every TV in this new home.
