Suffering With Some TV Signal Issues? It Could Be Because of Those Pesky Birds!

Do you all of a sudden have issues with your TV signal? Have you gone from being able to watch every show picture perfect to now having pixelation or loss of channels? In some cases it could be as simple as not having the power cables connected to the wall sockets as well as the TV. And then other times it can be due to wildlife.

In particular birds, who like to sharpen their beaks on cables, causing signal issues or loss of channels.

Only recently, Sean from Jim’s Antennas Noarlunga was called in to solve a wildlife issue. Having previously installed a new head end amplifier and antenna for the customer last year in Aldinga and all working fine until recently. Sean was called back because of occasional signal issues. It was found that the local bird population of Corellas had chewed the cabling and was the reason that the customer was was having signal issues.

The Solution? Sean took down the masting and replaced the antenna lead in cable, he also fitted flexible corrugated conduit to protect it from future birdie attacks.
