The aim of an alarm system is to protect your property and loved ones from home intrusions, fires or environmental disasters. • Low-resolution camera – If your images are blurry and barely recognizable, then it’s time to upgrade. When your images are blurred you might as well not have one, as they wouldn’t hold up in the court of law. But why should you have one? Security cameras are an excellent deterrent to criminals and reduce the chances of your house being targeted.

• Control your alarm system remotely – If your alarm system can only be monitored if you are at home then it’s time for an upgrade. You can now remotely activate and monitor your home security from your phone, tablet or computer. You can also remotely arm and disarm the alarm and control the locks. How cool!

• Hardwired to wireless – older houses tend to still have their alarm systems wired throughout the house, connecting to the alarm keypad, sensors and detectors etc. This is no longer recommended especially as it is easier for intruders to cut off the wire and disable the alarm system.
