Rubbing Shoulders with Rio Olympic Medallist

Today I met Jake Packard, the Bronze Medal winner swimmer from the Rio Olympics.

Jake is a former resident of Noosa and past student of St. Andrew’s Anglican College in Peregian Springs on the Sunshine Coast, which is where my two children attend.  He was kind enough to attend the Prep to Year 2 cross country carnival on 8 September for a meet & greet.

Jake gave a wonderful inspirational talk for anyone with Olympic aspirations and was happy to let everyone hold his Olympic Medal.  I must say, the medal is much heavier than it looks!

Thank you Jake Packard and we look forward to watching your career.
