Like most products, antennas also have an expiry date or your existing may be an analogue TV antenna. Some antennas can be damaged during storms or chewed and destroyed by birds.
This was in fact the case for Brett from Jim’s Antennas & Security Mickleham customer. The antenna on top of their 30ft mast was not working due to birds having chewed through the cable.
Brett, also noticed that his customer’s house was the only one that had a 30ft mast in the neighbourhood. All of the other houses had standard size masts. Brett installed a new 6ft mast, antenna & amplifier to point at the local tower. His customer can now watch TV with no issues.
