Do atmospheric conditions affect TV reception?

Yes, atmospheric conditions, such as wind, heavy rain and other storm activities, can affect your TV reception, causing pixellation, image freezing to loss of channels. The winds can cause your antenna to break or be dislodged from your roof (causing damage to your property). In some cases your antenna or booster could have filled up with water and will need to be replaced.

With current wet conditions across Australia and no break anytime soon, The Bureau of Meterology a third-consecutive La Nina event has been predicted for Australia. This means we are in for a wet summer.

If your TV reception has been affected by the bad weather, it’s time to call the experts at Jim’s Antennas.
