Have you ever found yourself in this situation (it’s frustratingly very common) – you are watching your favourite TV show and it’s the final minutes when all of a sudden you have poor TV reception. You start yelling at the TV or worse banging on it but nothing happens! ARRGHH! There are many causes of poor TV reception. Some of these can be easily resolved by evaluating the following: * Ensure your TV and power cables are connected to the wall sockets as well as the TV. * Try and perform an auto or manual scan for TV Channels (refer back to your TV’s owner manual). * If you do have an amplifier in your system ensure the power supply is plugged in and turned on. Other issues that can affect your TV Reception are poor or inferior cabling, splitters, connectors, amplifiers, incorrect installation. Reception issues can also be caused by factors that are outside of the home. Such as solar panels, electrical interference and LED lights (just to name a few). At Jim’s Antennas all of our technicians carry state of the art field strength meters that allows them to check the TV spectrum and see what is causing the interference. In some cases the solution maybe to replace the Antenna. Only recently, Jim’s Antennas Franchisee Jem from Daisy Hill in Queensland was called in to replace an old antenna, cable and mount. It was replaced with a new VHFYagi Antenna, RG6Q and Uni mount. Now his client can watch their favourite show and not worry about missing any of the good bits 🙂 So, if you are sick of your poor TV reception, give your local Jim’s Antennas expert a call on 131 546 or book a free onsite no obligation quote. |
